Homework Helpers Staff
The Homework Helpers program provides students in grades K-5 assistance with homework from both peers and adults. The program allows students to collaborate on learning while remaining physically distant. Students who may not need help, but simply would benefit from a place and dedicated time to work are also welcome. Homework Helpers provides the opportunity for students to complete homework or asynchronous remote learning assignments in a quiet place with support from trained staff members, while maintaining social connections with peers. Upon completion of daily assignments, students will work on extension activities.

About the instructor:
Hi, my name is Carolyn Fitzgerald and I will be one of the Homework Helpers program facilitators. You may recognize me from our summer programs. I am a school teacher certified in special education, elementary education, and mathematics education. I have experience in tutoring college students as well as teaching in grades Pre-K through 8. I look forward to supporting your child’s learning in the Fall!

What to bring:




  • Plenty of school work to fill the time


  • Water


  • A mask (or two!)


  • One nut-free snack


  • A chair or blanket


  • A firm surface to write on (ex: a book)
