5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Pickleball at Lakeshore Park - Beginner Pickleball (SPRING)
The pickle ball courts in Peabody are calling all adults looking for a new and exciting hobby! Lead by certified instructor Sarah Caliento, participants will begin each lesson with some skills and drills and then end the lesson with live play.Find your session: Beginners: This lesson is perfect for players who have no real experience playing pickleball. An introduction, participants will learn the game, how to hit the ball, the rules and to keep short rallies going.Advanced Beginners: This is for the player who has taken Intro or beginner classes and has at least one year of  pickle ball experience, including knowing the rules and scoring. Intermediate Players: You are able to keep quite a few balls going with your forehand, make most easier volleys, are starting to make more back hands, but looking to develop your stroke. Touch up on your form while putting your skills to the test, playing other intermediate players.Skills and Drills- Development for Adults: Practice makes perfect! Have fun fine tuning your service and return, backhand and forehand drives, overhead smashes, footwork, offensive lobs/defensive lobs, dinking (technique /placement), volleys (blocking/punch), 3rd, 5th 7th shot, strategies, and working with partner.What to bring: -Racket- the instructor will have some loaners available if needed.-Water-Court sneakers, or sneakers with little tread, recommended-Hat/sun glasses, recommendedBefore you arrive: There may not be a bathroom on site. Please plan accordingly.
