The leaves will be falling, which means that fall is calling! Besides the leaves falling, the weather is cooling down, and that means apples and pumpkins are ready for harvesting and the trees around us are changing! We will experience all the wonders fall has to offer through activities that involve play, arts & crafts, and simple science experiments.   Favorite Adult Must Stay For Duration of Program Time.Parents and children are required to bring masks and wear them when social distancing is not possible.What to bring: Water A mask (or two!) Learn the fundamentals of archery in a class that carefully balances safety and fun through a progression of challenges and archery games. Miss Michelle and Miss Courtney are back again this year with help from Miss Lauren and Miss Miranda to lead this wildly popular arts and crafts program.  Kids will tap into their creativity working on all sorts of projects which they will then take home to share with their friends and family.  Choose from 3 locations. Tillies Farm: Located at 189 Lynn St, all sessions at Tillies Farm will run rain or shine, as participants will be in a Green House! The instructors will meet your child at the Brown School and walk them to the farm. Don't attend the Brown school? Feel free to meet us at the farm! Pick up after class is at Tillies Farm Ross Park: Located at 36 Johnson St., a quick drive from the McCarthy West, or Burke School! Forest St Park: The instructors meet your child at the Center School and they will walk down to the park together! Don't attend the Center school? Feel free to meet us at the park! All sessions are officially running as planned! Please reference our COVID-19 Guidelines and Protocols on our website to view what additional health and safety measures we will be implementing in our programs. Join Peabody Recreation as we wander through Tillies Farm! These family friendly guided nature walks around the farm will explore the biodiversity of this exceptional property. Each month will bring new discoveries and delight!Farm walks are conducted by Rebecca Ingalls, a herbalist and nature lover, who will introduce the plants of Newhall Fields and lead each walk with attention to details and activating all the scenes in a fashion similar to forest bathing. Guest guides and experts may also make appearances throughout the season. Registration is required for each walk.
