Welcome to Teen Tanners
James Street Playground Program!
Pre-Teens and Teens entering grades 6-8 need their own space to have fun, and James Street park is where it's at! This playground program keeps participants off their devices all summer long as they socialize and play with their peers! Participants can look forward to sports, games, crafts, and hopefully field trips to outdoor locations!

Rainy Day Information
Due to COVID-19 indoor limitations, there is no indoor rain space and therefore, the program will be cancelled for the day if inclement weather is expected.
- To make the cancellation decision, there needs to be a 63% chance of rain (or higher) on 3 weather app's.
- We hope to make all rain day decisions by 7pm the day before.
- If a day is cancelled, you will be credited for the day.
- If an unexpected storm appears during a program day, participants will go inside to the adjacent school gym and parents will be called to pick them up.
Field Trips / Special Events
Due to current health and safety precautions, field trips for sessions 1&2 are on hold and we have tentatively planned outdoor field trips for sessions 3-8.
All participants will need to complete a swim test prior to attending a water based field trip. More information will be sent to those who register for those weeks.

If your child has diverse abilities, and you think your child would benefit from receiving support in this program from an inclusion specialist, please register for inclusion support, filling out all forms in as much detail as possible. Please note, this registration is not a separate program, but it is your way of asking our department for support services. We will do our best to support as many children as possible on a first come first serve basis.
