CPR
Need/Want to be certified in CPR with AED through the American Heart Association?

This blended learning course includes both an online portion and an in-person skills assessment. The eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course is designed to teach you the cognitive information needed for CPR and AED training. After the online portion (which lasts about three hours), students must then attend a one hour in person hands-on session with our Peabody Recreation instructor. Upon completion of the course, you will be comfortable assessing a victim, checking for breathing, performing rescue breaths and chest compressions and activating the emergency response system. You will also learn how to help someone who is choking, respond in other emergency situations and use an AED. Participants who complete both the eLearning and hands-on sessions will be emailed a course completion card, which is valid for two years.

Prerequisite: 3 hour online training module $15. Click HERE for the link.

NOTE: Price is for in-person skill session necessary to receive certification and does not include the required 3 hour online training module.

About the instructor:

Kierstin Merlino is a certified Athletic Trainer who has been teaching CPR for Technical Medical Center since 2015. She holds a B.S. from the University of Vermont in Athletic Training, and an M.Ed from Endicott College in Athletic Administration.
