Girls on the Run

GOTR
Thank you for your interest in the Girls on the Run program!
Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through a research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the season, girls in 3rd-5th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness.

What is included in the $285 fee:
~ Each participant will receive a personal GOTR kit including a drawstring backpack, water bottle, t-shirt, program journal, and face mask! (Participants will either receive their kit via mail, or from your head coach if participating safely in person.)
~ 10 weeks of 20 lessons facilitated by trained GOTR coaches!
~ A virtual end of season 5K, Your Way celebration including a finishers medal!
 
Financial Assistance:
We will NEVER turn a girl away due to financial constraints. Options appear in the financial assistance section of this form and follow the steps to access our sliding scale fee. 

Key Season Dates: 
The season begins the week of March 27th with a culminating celebratory 5K in June. We anticipate being able to offer our traditional 5K with all local GOTR teams at Hormel Location TBA. Peabody will run their program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm at the Higgins Middle School, on the Rice Practice Field, if it is inclement weather we will move inside the school.

  • Step 3: Show up with your sneakers on, a full water bottle, and ready to participate on Monday at 3:30pm at the Higgins Middle School at the Rice Practice Area (next to the softball field and behind the football goal post).
If there is inclement weather, we will hold the program inside the Higgins Middle School in Room 140.  Please show up ready to go and plan accordingly,
