NEW Podcast Workshop Series at Peabody TV!
Calling all creative middle schoolers ready to grab the mic and make some noise!
Location: Peabody TV — 81 Main Street
Tuesdays: March 24th, March 31st & April 7th
Grades: 6th–9th
Over three exciting Tuesday nights, students will step inside a real working media studio and learn how to create their very own podcast from idea to final episode. This hands-on workshop is designed to build confidence, creativity, and communication skills — all while having FUN.
Students will:
-Learn what makes a great podcast (format, structure, hooks & segments)
-Brainstorm and develop their own show concept
-Practice interviewing techniques and on-mic presence
-Get comfortable using professional microphones and recording equipment
-Learn the basics of audio editing
-Record their own podcast episode at Peabody TV
Whether they’re into gaming, storytelling, pop culture, sports debates, true crime, comedy, or community topics — this is their space to find their voice and bring their ideas to life.
By the end of the series, students will walk away with real production experience, stronger public speaking skills, and a finished audio project they can be proud of.

POWER UP AT PTV: Video Game Club
Get ready to press start on creativity! In this four-week program, students will explore the world of streaming, video games, and digital storytelling. Each week, kids will work together to create fun on-camera segments, practice basic streaming skills, learn how shows are produced at Peabody TV, and try out age-appropriate games that inspire teamwork and problem-solving. With access to Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, PlayStation 5, VR headsets, and plenty of gaming computers, students get hands-on experience using next-gen gear while having a blast.
Whether they dream of being YouTubers, gamers, or future filmmakers, this club gives them a safe, supportive space to level up their confidence and creativity.

Summer PYTV Video Production Club
Let your imagination be heard. Do you want to create your own videos based on your story ideas? In this video production club, participants will learn foundational skills in the realm of video production over the course of 11 weeks. Club members will be able to experience each role of production - from sitting in the directors chair, to operating state of the art switchers, to framing the shots as the camera operator, to being the star! They’ll even make some green screen magic occur! Both returning and new participants will have fun learning the art of video production while returning participants will get right into creating while learning advanced techniques of video production, including a special focus on external audio equipment, and new participants will learn how to write scripts, capture great shots with professional equipment, and edit the final product.
Summer program runs Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm.
