Jackie, Interim Director, has deep roots in Peabody and proudly calls the North Shore home. Growing up in this vibrant community, she developed a love for the outdoors and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those around her.
Jackie’s educational journey began at Essex Tech High School, where she focused on Environmental Science and Technology. This foundation ignited her passion for creating programs that promote environmental awareness and sustainability. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. With this diverse educational background, Jackie brings a unique perspective to her role, blending her love for teaching with her dedication to community engagement.
Having worked part-time for the Recreation Department for seven years at the Brooksby Outdoor Adventure Summer Program, Jackie honed her skills and built strong relationships within the community. Her hard work and dedication paid off when she transitioned to a full-time position in 2024. Now, she’s more committed than ever to developing programs that inspire, educate, and connect people of all ages.
Jackie is excited to continue her journey, creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone in Peabody.

Sally Ledbury

Sally was born and raised in Ipswich. She studied at the Whittier Regional VocationalTechnical
School in Haverhill before working with Budget Pools. Sally has recently joined our
department after several years in the Peabody Treasurer’s Office. When she’s not busy with
departmental finances and communicating with our residents, she enjoys skiing, camping,
sewing, spending time with her family and taking trips to the beach.

Brian Grant

Brian is originally from North Reading and earned his BA in Plant and Soil Science at
UMASS, Amherst. Before serving as our Parks and Forestry Superintendent, he worked for
the Meadows at Peabody golf course. Brian is in his third year with our department, loves
working outdoors, and truly appreciates getting to see the daily payoff derived from the hard
work of his crews. When he’s not managing our city’s trees and parks, Brian enjoys traveling,
golfing and spending time with his family, especially if it’s outside.
