PEABODY YOUTH TV PROGRAMS (PYTV) PYTV Video Production ClubFall-Spring: Grades 3-5 WEDNESDAYSFall-Spring: Grades 6-8 THURSDAYSSummer Sessions: Monday-Friday 10-3pm Let your imagination be heard. Do you want to create your own videos based on your story ideas? In this video production club, participants will learn foundational skills in the realm of video production over the course of 12 weeks or week long summer program. Club members will be able to experience each role of production - from sitting in the directors chair, to operating state of the art switchers, to framing the shots as the camera operator, to being the star! They’ll even make some green screen magic occur! The pickle ball courts in Peabody are calling all adults looking for a new and exciting hobby! Lead by certified instructor Sarah Caliento, participants will begin each lesson with some skills and drills and then end the lesson with live play.Find your session: Beginners: This lesson is perfect for players who have no real experience playing pickleball. An introduction, participants will learn the game, how to hit the ball, the rules and to keep short rallies going.Advanced Beginners: This is for the player who has taken Intro or beginner classes and has at least one year of  pickle ball experience, including knowing the rules and scoring. Intermediate Players: You are able to keep quite a few balls going with your forehand, make most easier volleys, are starting to make more back hands, but looking to develop your stroke. Touch up on your form while putting your skills to the test, playing other intermediate players.Skills and Drills- Development for Adults: Practice makes perfect! Have fun fine tuning your service and return, backhand and forehand drives, overhead smashes, footwork, offensive lobs/defensive lobs, dinking (technique /placement), volleys (blocking/punch), 3rd, 5th 7th shot, strategies, and working with partner.What to bring: -Racket- the instructor will have some loaners available if needed.-Water-Court sneakers, or sneakers with little tread, recommended-Hat/sun glasses, recommendedBefore you arrive: There may not be a bathroom on site. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. The Tiny Tanners, Red Ball, and Orange ball program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker!Meet the instructor:Returning to Peabody Recreation is Coach Maria Schena! Maria is a creative and engaging teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching students of all ages!Inclement Weather:If inclement weather is in the forecast, we will aim to make up lessons that same week when possible. Adult Tennis Lessons- Come Play!  Our Adult Beginner and Advanced Beginner Tennis Program is designed for those who want to learn the fundamentals of tennis and for players looking to improve their game! Each night, players work on their tennis skills, hand-eye skills, basic tennis stroke technique, ball & racket control, and have lots of fun! All abilities are welcome.Our Intermediate Adult Tennis Program is designed for those who already have the basic tennis strokes, can maintain a rally, and already know how to Serve, Rally and Score. It will consist of improving technique and will introduce singles/doubles strategies for match play.Inclement Weather Policy:If inclement weather is in the forecast, we will aim to make up lessons at the end of the session. If we are not able to make this happen we will issue a credit. Total body training with Holly Smith, a personal trainer who has been in the business for almost 30 years! She works on it all from strength, cardio, balance, core, coordination, and flexibility. The class style changes to keep the body guessing and to have tons of fun! It’s been a tough year and we need to take care of ourselves! Join us and take the time to commit to your heath and have a few laughs in the process! All levels are welcome, as modifications are always an option! Please bring a set of dumbbells, water, and wear sneakers*If there is cold/inclement weather, this program will move indoors to the field house. There will not be a restroom on site when class is outside.

Tennis in the Parks - The tennis program where kids play while they learn!Led by an approved USTA Net Generation tennis coach, the program will focus on developing the skills to serve, rally and play - so it’s perfect for beginners and first-time players. Once the skills are there, participants will play fun matches with other players in the program. The Tiny Tanners, Red Ball, and Orange ball program uses modified tennis balls, age-appropriate rackets, court sizes, and the latest fun and engaging activities that help players successfully learn and play the game quicker!Meet the instructor:Returning to Peabody Recreation is Coach Maria Schena! Participants will begin each lesson with some skills and drills and then end the lesson with live play.Find your session: Beginners: This lesson is perfect for players who have no real experience playing pickleball. An introduction, participants will learn the game, how to hit the ball, the rules and to keep short rallies going.Advanced Beginners: This is for the player who has taken Intro or beginner classes and has at least one year of  pickle ball experience, including knowing the rules and scoring. Intermediate Players: You are able to keep quite a few balls going with your forehand, make most easier volleys, are starting to make more back hands, but looking to develop your stroke. Total body training with Holly Smith, a personal trainer who has been in the business for almost 30 years! She works on it all from strength, cardio, balance, core, coordination, and flexibility. The class style changes to keep the body guessing and to have tons of fun! It’s been a tough year and we need to take care of ourselves! Join us and take the time to commit to your heath and have a few laughs in the process! All levels are welcome, as modifications are always an option! Please bring a set of dumbbells, water, and wear sneakers*If there is cold/inclement weather, this program will move indoors to the field house. There will not be a restroom on site when class is outside.

Maria is a creative and engaging teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching students of all ages!Inclement Weather:If inclement weather is in the forecast, we will aim to make up lessons that same week when possible. Adult Tennis Lessons- Come Play!  Our Adult Beginner and Advanced Beginner Tennis Program is designed for those who want to learn the fundamentals of tennis and for players looking to improve their game! Each night, players work on their tennis skills, hand-eye skills, basic tennis stroke technique, ball & racket control, and have lots of fun! All abilities are welcome.Our Intermediate Adult Tennis Program is designed for those who already have the basic tennis strokes, can maintain a rally, and already know how to Serve, Rally and Score. It will consist of improving technique and will introduce singles/doubles strategies for match play.Inclement Weather Policy:If inclement weather is in the forecast, we will aim to make up lessons at the end of the session. The pickle ball courts in Peabody are calling all adults looking for a new and exciting hobby! Lead by certified instructor Sarah Caliento, participants will begin each lesson with some skills and drills and then end the lesson with live play.Find your session: Beginners: This lesson is perfect for players who have no real experience playing pickleball. An introduction, participants will learn the game, how to hit the ball, the rules and to keep short rallies going.Advanced Beginners: This is for the player who has taken Intro or beginner classes and has at least one year of  pickle ball experience, including knowing the rules and scoring. Intermediate Players: You are able to keep quite a few balls going with your forehand, make most easier volleys, are starting to make more back hands, but looking to develop your stroke. Touch up on your form while putting your skills to the test, playing other intermediate players.Skills and Drills- Development for Adults: Practice makes perfect! Have fun fine tuning your service and return, backhand and forehand drives, overhead smashes, footwork, offensive lobs/defensive lobs, dinking (technique /placement), volleys (blocking/punch), 3rd, 5th 7th shot, strategies, and working with partner.What to bring: -Racket- the instructor will have some loaners available if needed.-Water-Court sneakers, or sneakers with little tread, recommended-Hat/sun glasses, recommendedBefore you arrive: There may not be a bathroom on site. Please plan accordingly.

Adult Tennis Lessons- Come Play!  Our Adult Beginner and Advanced Beginner Tennis Program is designed for those who want to learn the fundamentals of tennis and for players looking to improve their game! Each night, players work on their tennis skills, hand-eye skills, basic tennis stroke technique, ball & racket control, and have lots of fun! All abilities are welcome.Our Intermediate Adult Tennis Program is designed for those who already have the basic tennis strokes, can maintain a rally, and already know how to Serve, Rally and Score. It will consist of improving technique and will introduce singles/doubles strategies for match play.Inclement Weather Policy:If inclement weather is in the forecast, we will aim to make up lessons at the end of the session. If we are not able to make this happen we will issue a credit. Be sure to check your email for potential postponement notifications. What to bring:-Water-A tennis racket (the instructor has extras for those who do not have one or forget theirs)
